Once both stilts are securely attached to your legs, you can take your first steps. First, however, you should stand up slowly, ideally holding onto something or someone. Before you start walking, move around a bit on the spot with the stilts to get a feel for the height. If they wobble, the adjustment is incorrect. You may need to ask someone to help you.
Only when you can stand safely without using your hands should you take your first small steps. Try the stilts slowly to get a good feel for them. This will ensure you can work safely and comfortably, and soon you won't want to be without these practical work aids.
